Global Catholic Events

My Catholic Journeys is committed to supplying you with the best pilgrimage opportunities available. We have a long history of sending both parish and diocesan groups to global gatherings of the church. Here are a few of our previous itineraries for these gathers. If you would like to receive more information about attending one of these events, please let us know.

World Youth Day 2027 – South Korea

The selection of South Korea as the host nation for the next World Youth Day is an exciting and meaningful choice for this global celebration of Catholic faith and unity. Set to take place in the summer of 2027, this gathering will bring together young Catholics from every corner of the world to share in prayer, fellowship, and joy. With several years of preparation ahead, the Church and the people of South Korea are already working to create an inspiring and unforgettable experience for all pilgrims. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the country’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage — from vibrant Seoul to sacred pilgrimage sites across the Korean peninsula. Faith Journeys will work closely with each group leader to design customized itineraries that include World Youth Day events as well as visits to significant religious and cultural destinations throughout South Korea. We look forward to journeying with you on this life-changing pilgrimage — World Youth Day 2027: South Korea!

World Meeting of Families

This event, originally scheduled for 2021 has been pushed back to 2022. Rome will be the site of the next World Meeting of Families, causing a great amount of anticipation and excitement. Following the great success of the 2018 event in Dublin, the worldwide Catholic community is looking forward to a return to Rome, which last took place in 2000. The event will focus on the theme “Family Love: A Vocation and a Path to Holiness.” As this World Meeting of Families (WMOF) will fall on the fifth anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical Amoris Laetitia, the meeting will reflect on the spirituality of the family in light of the call to holiness expressed in Gaudete et Exsultate.

International Eucharistic Congress

The Holy Father, Pope Francis, has postponed the upcoming International Eucharistic Congress in Budapest, Hungary in September of 2020. It has now been re-scheduled for September of 2021. This postponement will allow Catholics from around the world to gather safely to share God’s unsurpassable gift to the Church, his bride. Throughout history, the Church has feared no “extravagance” in devoting the best of her resources to expressing her wonder and adoration before her Eucharistic Spouse and Lord.
A clear expression of this “extravagance” can be witnessed at an International Eucharistic Congress. The highlight of the congress is generally the solemn procession and final celebration of the Eucharist. Our updated itinerary options include: Vienna, Krakow, Czestochowa, Dubrovnik, Međugorje, Zagreb, and Prague.
